Field Work Information
The Council on Social Work Education mandates that students complete a minimum of 400 hours in the field practicum. Peter McCarthy ACSW the coordinator of field education, guides every senior social work major through the field placement sequence. 在 the fall of their senior year, social work majors begin to explore prospective agency sites and interview with their potential field supervisors. 在 the spring semester of their senior year, students work an average of 30–32 hours per week in an approved human services agency for a total of 425–450 hours.
